Toktogul lake is one of the spots where I like to stop on the way down to the south of Kyrgyzstan. For photography lovers, I think the south shore is one of the most interesting one. There are many intersting spots, but this off-road one is easy to miss.
Let's be honest, Kyrgyzstan is outstanding, beautiful, gorgeous. But that's not the place you go to see forests. Yet, there are forests and because they aren't so many, they become particularly precious. Forests of Juniper trees are the main ones in the south.
That's truly the end of the road! You can't go further. But you definitely might want to get there! Reddish mountain on one side, a canyon on the other and Lenin Peak (7000m+) and it's glacier in the background.
